I should blog more.
In trolling around the interweb I stumbled upon this great INFOGRAPHIC from Brafton. The right Content Marketing strategy mixed with solid SEO can add major improvements to your website traffic.
A busy day.
My new BFF (@cpcube) just posted an article about how company’s may or may not use interns in their Social Media campaigns.
I may or may not be mentioned in her post, so you’ll just have to click and read won’t you?!
Just posted a new article on The Creative Departments Blog:
Good afternoon.
Thanks for stopping by (Mom).
I was recently contacted about companies who use interns in their social media campaigns and how they go about selecting the few, the chosen, the coffee gophers… the interns.

What Companies Want in a Social Media Intern

This is why I love marketing.
I just put Sopranos season 1 in the Netflix cue.
I know, I know… what’s taken me so long to watch one of the most highly acclaimed television series in recent times? I blame my kids… and my mother.
I’ve always had this voyeuristic love of the mafia. The community, the passion, the cement shoes. And the term, organized crime, almost has a pleasant ring to it.
So, Tony Soprano is coming for dinner. Ayyyy, Ohhh!
Guten tag.
What do I like? I like complex simplicity. Like a Cinnabon.
More importantly, what I like about brands that “get it.”
I live deep in the woods. A city boy turned wanna-be mountain man. A good pair of trail running shoes is on the get list. I cued up Zappos.com to have a look around. I have purchased from Zappos before, so I’m familiar with their services.

So back to my trail shoes…
I went to Zappos /Men’s Shoes and found the category, “Trail Runners.” Once inside this category I made a quick visual inventory of the shoes that interested me and then clicked on the pairs I liked.
What I like about Zappos is their clean, simple approach to e-commerce. I have the ability to chat live with a customer service rep, share my purchase with my facebook or twitter fans as well as this cool product badge “if” I wanted to blog about the shoes. And should any of my family or friends who see this might feel inclined to purchase as a token of their love and affection.
